I paint “en plein air”. I enjoy being out in nature in the fresh air. No two days are ever the same. The light and atmosphere change. The seasons change. I like coming back to my favorite places. Wildlife come by as I quietly sit and become part of the landscape. It is a very special time. It is relaxing and exhilararting at the same time to try to capture the beauty and mystery of what I see.
Education: I graduated from Wagner College , Staten Island, New York with a B.S. in Nursing. Between nursing and raising a family I always managed to get an art course in along the way. I studied with the Washington School of Art, a correspondence course which enabled me to study at home. I took classes at the DuCret School of Art and the Art Students’ League in Manhattan. Now retired I have enjoyed taking annual workshops with nationally known artists.
