Painting has always been my passion. I have been painting in all areas of the Jersey coast for the past few decades. I joined the Plein Air painters about 5 years ago and this has continued to be a wonderful and fulfilling experience for me.

I paint in oils using the light & shadows in a manner inspired by the impressionists. Visiting the Metropolitan Museum often to enhance my painting excitement and vivid colors I see in the masters. Painting outdoors with the Plein Air painters has been the fulfillment of a lifetime dream.

Education:
I was educated in art from an early grade, majoring in art in high school and later in college. with a degree from Brookdale College. After graduating, I studied with a number of artists, including portraiture with Mary Sheehn, and two years' study with Desa Vey at The Old Mill. While taking a course in figure drawing, I was told that to understand the human form I should take a couse in Anatomy. Doing so sidetracked me from painting and drawing into a career in nursing. Since retiring I have been able to return to my one true love: painting nature. Recently I have studied with Judy Stach, Timothy Thies, and Eleinne Basa.
